The Sentinel® phone uses either Protel's Model 310 Chassis or Flash 7000 Chassis. With tens of thousands of installations serving millions of users worldwide, the Sentinel® phone can be the foundation of any payphone route. Training is a breeze. The keypad diagnostics give field technicians a step-by-step procedure, and like all Protel coin phones the Sentinel® phone has a simple start up process.



Utilizes Protel housings:

  • The Sentinel® phone utilizes Protel's housing, which is designed and manufactured to be the industry standard in longevity and reliability. Protel also offers a two-year warranty on its housings.

  • All of Protel's housings consist of a two-piece cabinet shell constructed of 15-gauge deep drawn 1006 carbon steel. Welded reinforcing members are added to increase strength characteristics. The use of two latching steel slide bars secure the upper and lower shells at six points.

  • All of Protel's housings are completely tested for proper form, fit and function prior to shipping to the customer. Our SPC (Statistical Process Control) program ensures a consistent level of quality throughout the manufacturing process, even with the extremely close tolerances required. These tolerances result in fewer pry points and increase the housing's weatherability.

  • Protel housing are undercoated using a highly specialized electrodeposition process. It's the same process developed for the automotive industry. This process further enhances the ability of the housing to withstand harsh weather conditions. The final finish or outer coat is polyester urethane powder that not only is pleasing to the eye but also provides resistance to abrasion, impact and chemical attack.
